Over the past few weeks we have been setting up Bowlr, a Membership & League Management System for bowls clubs. It replaces our existing on-line diary and can be accessed by clicking 'Bowlr' in on the top menu. To use the Bowlr application you must be a paid up member of the Isle of Wight Indoor Bowls Club and have been issued with a membership number and password. 

We are aware that not all members are comfortable with technology so it was important that we chose a system that is straightforward to use. We believe that Bowlr is such a system. It has the following features -

• Cloud based: in other words, as long as you can get a connection to the internet and have a membership number and password, you can access the club's system from anywhere.

• Once connected you can -

  • view the online diary

  • make a rink booking

  • make yourself available for club games (printed versions will still be available on the notice board)

  • view league fixtures and tables

  • view club competitions

• It enables us to manage membership, leagues and competitions

• It prints out our scorecards

• It combines all of our mailing lists so the information we are using is always up-to-date

All friendly games and leagues fixtures will be entered in the diary before the season starts. Members will only be required to book their individual roll-ups or competitions.

The only personal information the system holds is what you told us on your application form. It is password protected and continuously backed up.
